What is Micropower?
Done what you can to make your home more energy efficient? Made the switch to a green energy supplier? Want to do more to support green energy? If you own your own home then you may be in a position to generate your own energy. In some cases you could even get paid for the energy you produce.
Micropower describes the increasing range of small-scale renewable energy technologies on the market. Grants for individuals and communities are available. You can find out more about micropower at the Friends of the Earth Scotland website.
There are a variety of micropower options available. Each has its own pros and cons and is only suitable for certain types of property. That’s where the Micropower Audit comes in – it can give you an idea of whether your home is suitable for any of these technologies.
